Marquee Numbers

Illuminated marquee numbers zero through eight in full colour, standing on the workshop floor

0 through 8 in full colour. The same height as our letters, so a number and a letter stand level in the same sign.

Illuminated digits for ages, years, addresses and countdowns. Same frame, same sockets, same replaceable bulbs as our letters — which is why a digit and a letter line up when they are set side by side, instead of sitting at two different heights.

What people order

Almost every number order is one of four things. If yours is the fifth, that is usually the interesting one.

  • Ages — 30, 40, 50, 60. The most common order by a wide margin, usually two digits on a stand.
  • Years — 2026, or a founding year. Four digits, often the full width of a stage.
  • Addresses and unit numbers — short runs for a venue entrance or a retail frontage.
  • Countdowns — 3-2-1 for an event, or a year that changes every twelve months.

Four digits, one year. Tell us the width of the wall and we will set the height that fits it.

Two digits for an age. Warm white is the standard bulb; cool white and RGB are options.

Sizes

Height Approx. Typical use
3ft 90 cm Table-top and window displays, tight frontages
4ft 120 cm The rental workhorse — birthdays, weddings, shop floors
5ft 150 cm Stage and facade work, photographed from a distance
Custom — Built to the aperture you have to fill; quoted with a drawing

Digits are set to the same heights as the letters, so you can mix them in one order and they will stand level. If you are buying both, send the words and the numbers together and we will price them as one quantity.

Construction

A digit is a fabricated box, built the same way as a letter: a punched metal face carrying the lamp sockets, a metal back panel, and a face edge welded on both lines so the profile stays rigid when it is lifted and stacked. A failed bulb is pulled and replaced from the face — the number does not have to come apart.

  • Metal face and back panel — powder-coated, with hanging points on the back.
  • Replaceable LED bulbs in lamp sockets punched at even spacing.
  • Double-line welded face edge — the same rigid edge as our letters.
  • Power — plug-in with cord and switch, 110V or 220V matched to your destination.
  • Use — indoor and outdoor in dry weather; the standard build is not rain-proof.

Pricing

Quoted per character, tiered by quantity. The tier table lives on the wholesale pricing page. Send us the number you want and the quantity, and we will price it against your destination and freight.

Minimum order is one character. Lead time is 15 working days after artwork approval and deposit.

How to order a number

  1. Tell us the number, the height, and where it is going.
  2. We send a shop drawing with the price, the lead time and the freight, usually within one business day.
  3. Approve the drawing. We build to it — the drawing is the contract, not a rough idea.
  4. 15 working days later it is photographed lit, then packed.

Questions

Can I order a single digit?+
Yes. One character is the minimum order, and that applies to digits as much as letters.
Will a number survive being rented out?+
That is what the double-line welded edge is for. The face will not bow when the digit is carried, stacked or leant against a wall, and bulbs are replaceable so a single failure does not take a number out of service.
Can numbers go outdoors?+
Dry weather, yes. The standard build is not rain-proof. Tell us the exposure and we will quote a waterproof version instead of you finding out at the first shower.
What if my number is not a standard digit?+
Symbols, letters mixed with digits, and custom shapes are all built on the same frame. Send the artwork or even a sketch — the custom and OEM page covers how that works.
